Are Resistance Bands Effective in Resistant Exercises for Women

Resistant bands are effective aids for resistant training exercises for women. When resistant bands are used for a full body workout, they result in exercise of each of the major muscle groups.

Are resistant bands effective in resistance exercises? Yes, this is because the intensity of resistant exercise is controlled by changing the position of exercise in accordance with where the band is fixed.

For example, intensity of exercise when doing resistant exercise with the resistance band fixed on a fence post is controlled by moving either closer or away from the fence while pulling the end of the band.

Moving closer to the fence post gives the band more slack, thereby making the exercise on a woman’s arms and back muscles to be much easier.

Moving away from the fence post makes the band be tighter, giving more challenge to the exercise program. Resistant bands fit into the bag of many women enabling women to carry them whenever needed during resistance exercise.
How are resistance bands effective in resistance exercises? The effective of resistant bands is seen when used in resistant training as follows:

Improved Body Shape

Firm, sculpted muscles are obtained in resistant workouts using bands. Improved muscle tone is noticed after a woman completes a number of resistance training using resistance bands. This is done in combination with aerobic exercises. This just shows how effective resistance bands are.

- Are resistance bands effective in improving muscle power? There are advanced resistant training exercises inclusive of performing exercises with improved momentum that results in increased power of the muscle. Resistant bands are most suitably used in sports including netball, football and golf because of their ability to improve muscle power.

Healthy Bone

Resistance bands used in resistant training help prevent bone diseases including osteoporosis. Regular resistance exercise involving bands is good for maintenance of bone mass. Women have a great risk of developing osteoporosis while past the age of 30.

At this age, their bone mass can reduce significantly. Resistance exercises using resistance band helps to maintain density of bones and delay process of degeneration of bones in women at age beyond 40 years.

- Improved rate of metabolism is achieved by tissue of muscle becoming metabolically active when performing band stretching of muscles in arms or legs.

Calories are also burnt in the muscles during metabolism process. Thus using resistance bands in exercises contribute significantly in lose and maintenance of a healthy weight.
