Safe Head Lice Treatment for Pregnant Women with Herbs Remedy

Surely, none of us wants head lice, well unless of course for any weird reasons. As soon as we found out that we have head lice, we tend to go for a treatment that would eliminate these bugs.

However, this thing isn't that easy for pregnant women. Why? It is because of the chemicals, especially those containing percentage of pesticides such as malathion or pyrethrin, present in common head lice treatment, which might actually be harmful for the baby.

While pregnant, you must always be cautious of any treatment you will be taking (not just for head lice). The manual picking of head lice is the safest head lice treatment of all times, especially for pregnant women.

This spares you from the risk of having a side-effect from your regular chemical-based head lice treatment. And remember: always talk to your doctor first.

Signs of Head Lice

Lice can be seen with the naked eye despite its size.

- Lice eggs (Commonly known as Nits). Tiny, dandruff looking, brown dots found in your head. They are often laid close to the scalps on hair shafts. They are usually more prone to be seen than a crawling adult head louse.

- Nymphs and Adult Lice. An adult louse is usually grayish white or sometimes tans in color.

It is about a sesame seed in size. They often feed on your blood several times a day; however, if it withdraws itself from its host, it can only survive for up to two days.

- Scratching. The most common sign of having head lice is scratching. The itch felt is caused by either the movement of the lice, or its saliva reacting to your skin.

Being Equipped with Herbs

These head lice are no longer new to humanity and it exists almost in every part of the planet. Because of this, man, even during the ancient times, has made ways of dealing with it.
