It is about a sesame seed in size. They often feed on your blood several
times a day; however, if it withdraws itself from its host, it can only survive for up to two
days.
- Scratching. The most common sign of having head lice is scratching. The
itch felt is caused by either the movement of the lice, or its saliva reacting to your
skin.
Being Equipped with Herbs
These head lice are no longer new to humanity and it exists almost in
every part of the planet. Because of this, man, even during the ancient times, has made ways of
dealing with it.
They developed home remedies as solution for these lice; and these
remedies are made out of herbs, tried and tested over centuries. Below is an ancient herb and is
still being used until today: garlic – a safe head lice treatment for pregnant women.
Garlic (Allium sativum)
Garlic is one of the oldest herbs known to man. It is has been used as a treatment for acne, colds,
and flu. Recently, a study has been publish in the JNCI (Journal of National Cancer Institute) that
reveals that men consuming a least twelve grams of garlic a day are about fifty percent less prone
prostate cancer than those who did not. And aside from these wonders, garlic is known for its power
to repel bugs. An Argentinean research showed that garlic helped kill over 95 percent of head lice
within fifteen minutes!
Special Garlice Paste Recipe
Ingredients
4 Garlic cloves
2 egg yolks
Salt to taste
1 1/2 Tablespoon of fresh lemon juice
A cup of olive oil

Preparation - Peel off the garlic's hard skin and
mince it.
- Crush the garlic using the flat side of a knife.
- Put it in a mortar and pestle, add a half teaspoon salt, and smash into a paste. (If you
have a good garlic press, use it, it saves you more time and effort)
- Take a small mixing bowl and place 2 egg yolks into it.
- Add the garlic paste into the bowl and gently whisk.
- Using a hand mixer, have it on a low speed, pour the olive oil slowly in a steady and thin
stream. Do it until a creamy sauce forms.
- Slowly add the touch of lemon juice at the end. To ensure the sauce stays smooth, keep the
mixer on.
- Apply it to the lice infested head.
Note: This garlic paste can also be used as a sandwich spread, and can be
served with meat and fish.
